July 8- Geneva/Ferney- Pre-tour warm up ride

After flying for 12 hours and trying to sleep we knew it was time to ride. Glenn, the tour leader, announced that there would be a "leg-stretcher" for those who arrived early. His leg-stretcher became a 50 mile jaunt with 2500 feet of climbing. Ugggggg. But, the scenery was gorgeous riding along the west shore of Lake Geneva. We climbed from there to St. Cergue, a quanit village, patissere included! The decent won us "most aggressive riders of the day"!
